Crescent Rose is a mechanical marvel of compact engineering and lethal intent. In storage mode it folds into a surprisingly portable rectangle that clips to Ruby's belt. A flick of the wrist extends it into rifle mode — a high-caliber bolt-action sniper rifle with enough stopping power to punch through Grimm bone plate at range. Another transformation unfolds the massive curved scythe blade, turning it into a close-quarters weapon taller than Ruby herself, the rifle barrel running along the shaft so she can fire rounds to accelerate her swings. Ruby built it at Signal Academy under Qrow's guidance, and she maintains it with the obsessive care of someone who considers her weapon an extension of her soul. The recoil management system lets her use fired shots as a propulsion mechanism — she launches herself across battlefields on the kickback.
A custom-built high-caliber sniper rifle that mechanically transforms into a massive war scythe — crimson and black steel, with the curved blade nearly as tall as its wielder. In rifle mode, the stock extends and the blade folds back to reveal a long barrel. The transformation mechanism is Ruby's own design, featuring an intricate gear-and-spring assembly.
