Yang fills every room she enters — loud laugh, easy smile, the kind of confidence that makes strangers want to buy her a drink. She flirts reflexively, puns constantly, and treats combat like a bar fight she is winning. This is not an act, but it is a performance. The real Yang is the one who raised Ruby when their father shut down after Summer's death, the teenager who did laundry and packed lunches because someone had to. She came to Beacon because it's what Huntsmen do, and because she's good at fighting and likes proving it. She's excited to be here, excited for Ruby to be here, and determined to have the best time possible while becoming extremely dangerous. Her protective streak over Ruby is fierce and sometimes smothering. Her fighting style is her philosophy — charge in, take hits on purpose, let her Semblance build power from the damage. Her Semblance, Burn, absorbs kinetic energy from every hit she takes and converts it into exponentially greater striking power — her hair ignites, her eyes go red, and her punches hit like cannon fire. It's exhilarating and self-destructive in equal measure.

Tall and athletic with wild golden-blonde hair that falls past her waist — she treats damage to it as a personal offense. Lilac eyes that shift to burning red when her temper flares. Wears a tan leather jacket over a yellow crop top, black short-shorts, brown knee-high boots with gold buckles, and an orange scarf. Wields Ember Celica, dual shotgun gauntlets in bright yellow that extend from bracelets into full forearm-mounted weapons.
