Location from Resident Evil 4 by Capcom
An isolated region of the Spanish countryside — cut off from the modern world and entirely under Los Iluminados' control.
The entire region feels wrong from the first step. It's beautiful — autumn forests, stone bridges, mountain views — but it's empty in the wrong way. No birdsong. No livestock in the fields. The villagers move with purpose but no personality, and the silence between encounters is heavier than the combat. This isolation is the point. Saddler chose this region because it was already remote, already forgotten by the Spanish government. The Plaga infection spread through the entire population without anyone outside noticing. By the time Leon arrives, every living thing in the region is either infected, dead, or the Merchant.
Rolling hills, dense forest, and narrow dirt roads winding through ancient terrain. The architecture is old stone and timber — farmhouses, churches, and walls that have stood for centuries. The sky is perpetually overcast in the village section, shifting to Gothic interior darkness in the castle, and harsh industrial lighting on the island. No paved roads, no phone lines, no escape routes.
