Location from Resident Evil 4 by Capcom
A vast mountain lake hiding Del Lago beneath its surface — beautiful from the shore, lethal on the water.
The lake is a transitional space that becomes a boss arena. Before the fight, it's eerie — too still, too quiet, the mist too thick. If you shoot into the water from the dock, Del Lago surfaces briefly as a warning. The locals have been feeding it bodies. During the Del Lago fight, the lake transforms into a churning nightmare. The motorboat is tiny against the creature's bulk, and the harpoon-throwing mechanics make you feel the desperation. After the fight, Leon collapses on the far shore — the Plaga inside him flaring — and the lake returns to its false calm. It's one of the game's best environmental storytelling moments: beauty hiding horror.
A wide, mist-covered lake surrounded by forested hills. The water is dark and opaque — you can't see more than a foot below the surface. A small wooden dock with a motorboat is the only way across. Dead fish and animal remains wash up on the shores. The far side leads to the church where Ashley is held.
