Location from Resident Evil 4 by Capcom
A cable car system spanning the castle's ravine — a claustrophobic ride with Zealots attacking from above and below.
The gondola ride is a set-piece encounter that exploits claustrophobia and exposure simultaneously. You're trapped in a small space while Zealots board from the cable above, leap from adjacent platforms, and in the remake, attack from below. It's a combat puzzle in a moving box — resource management meets spatial awareness. In the remake, the gondola sequence is expanded with more dynamic enemy spawns and environmental hazards. It's one of the game's most memorable traversal moments because it removes the player's ability to retreat — you're moving forward whether you're ready or not.
A metal cable car suspended over a deep chasm between castle sections. The gondola itself is a cramped metal box with windows on all sides — nowhere to hide. The cable runs between stone platforms on either end, with the castle's towers visible above and the ravine dropping into darkness below. Wind howls through the gap.
