Grand Hall

Location from Resident Evil 4 by Capcom

The castle's central chamber — a towering space where Salazar holds court and where some of the game's most intense Zealot encounters take place.

The Grand Hall is the castle's statement of power. Salazar addresses Leon from his elevated position, flanked by his Verdugos, delivering theatrical monologues about divine right and the Plaga's gift. It's also a combat gauntlet — Zealots pour in from multiple entrances, and the multi-level design creates vertical combat that the village section lacked. The space shifts in the remake: it's used for multiple encounters, each reconfiguring the hall's layout. Barricades go up, chandeliers can be dropped on enemies, and the galleries become sniper positions. The hall embodies the castle's dual nature — beautiful and deadly.

Appearance

A massive vaulted hall with a high ceiling supported by stone columns. A grand staircase leads to upper galleries. Chandeliers provide warm but insufficient light, leaving the upper reaches in shadow. Iluminados banners hang from the walls. Salazar's elevated throne platform sits at the far end. The floor is polished stone, scarred by combat.
