U-3

Character from Resident Evil 4 by Capcom

A chimeric bioweapon spliced from multiple organisms — the island's most horrific Plaga experiment, codenamed 'It.'

U-3 represents what the island's research labs were really doing — pushing Plaga mutation past any ethical boundary. It's not an infected human or an enlarged animal; it's a deliberate chimera, assembled from multiple hosts and Plaga strains. The fight takes place in a suspended cage system over a chasm, adding verticality and claustrophobia. U-3 can sever the cage supports, forcing you to move between platforms while fighting. It's the island section's horror centerpiece — the moment that shows what Saddler's researchers created when they had unlimited subjects and no oversight.

Appearance

A grotesque fusion of human and insect anatomy. Its upper body retains a vaguely humanoid shape, but its lower half is a mass of arthropod legs and segmented tail. A massive Plaga organism erupts from its back, forming a second 'head' with snapping mandibles. It moves with unsettling speed despite its bulk, switching between bipedal and multi-legged locomotion.
