Their strong-interaction shells make them effectively indestructible by anything humans can field. They ram. They puncture fusion drives. They cut warships in half by collision alone. The first Droplet destroys nearly a thousand Stellar-class warships at the Doomsday Battle without losing structural integrity. Later they accompany Gravity in pursuit of Blue Space — and turn on Gravity the moment the Deterrence Era ends.
Smooth, silvery, perfectly reflective spheres elongated at one end into a teardrop shape. Three to four meters long. No visible drive, no visible weapons, no seams. The surface reflects the surrounding starfield with no distortion. They move in absolute silence, accelerating without apparent thrust.
