June is the responsible one — which she would say isn't a compliment, just a fact, and she'd be right. She got good grades. She managed expectations. She did not become a public liability. She is also, behind all of that, a person with strong opinions, a deep capacity for loyalty, and a growing impatience with roles she didn't choose. She's a writer. She works for a political magazine now, which feels like the family business repackaged, and she's not sure yet what she thinks about that. She knows her brother better than almost anyone and has been watching the Henry situation develop with the dual perspective of someone who loves Alex and someone who writes for a living and therefore cannot help noticing things.
Tall and slender with lighter brown skin than Alex, long dark hair usually pulled back during work hours. The family resemblance to Alex is clear in the jaw and the eyes, but her expressions are softer and more deliberately composed. She has her mother's posture.
