Item from Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Darrow's captured dreadnought — a Society warship seized during the Rising and turned into the flagship of the revolution. Named for the light that heralds the dawn.
The Morning Star is a stolen crown. Originally a Society dreadnought, it was captured by Darrow and the Howlers in a boarding action that became legendary — a handful of warriors taking a capital ship through sheer audacity and violence. Darrow renamed it the Morning Star, the light before dawn, and made it the flagship of the Rising's fleet. Under Orion xe Aquarii's navigation and Darrow's command, the ship became the spearhead of every major operation: the assault on Luna, the breaking of the Society blockade, the desperate campaigns that followed. The Morning Star is more than a warship. It is a symbol — proof that the Rising could take the Society's own weapons and turn them against their makers. Every Gold who sees it knows what it represents: their own technology, their own power, seized and wielded by the people they once ruled.
A massive capital-class warship bristling with railguns, torpedo tubes, and fighter bays. The hull bears the scars of multiple engagements — patched armor plating, replacement gun emplacements, and the Rising's clenched-fist emblem painted over the Society's original gold eagle. The bridge is a command theater of holographic displays and tactical stations.
