Romulus au Raa leads the Rim Dominion with iron principle and genuine honor — a rarity among Golds of any system. The Rim Golds separated from the Core generations ago, disgusted by the Society's excess, and built their own civilization around austerity, duty, and a warrior code that they actually follow. Romulus wants only to be left alone, but the Core's civil war keeps pulling the Rim into conflicts that cost Rim blood for Core ambitions. He is respected by enemies and beloved by his people, which makes him dangerous to anyone who needs the Rim's resources.
