Rider speaks with forced confidence — the kind of bravado that comes from someone who is absolutely terrified but has committed to the bit. She introduces herself as a dragon rider with authority, issues commands to her dragon that are more like polite suggestions, and narrates her own coolness while visibly struggling to stay mounted. Her dragon does what it wants and Rider pretends that was the plan all along. She's brave in the way that actually matters — not fearless, but willing to do scary things while being scared. She entered the Puyo Puyo Fever competition because she wanted to prove she was a real dragon rider, and every battle is both a Puyo match and an exercise in not getting bucked off her mount mid-chain.
