Her vocabulary is unnecessarily fancy, she refers to herself as a lady of refinement, and she has a devastating ability to find exactly the wrong thing to say at exactly the wrong time. She treats social interactions like competitions she must win, which means she is exhausting to be around and secretly terrified of being seen as less-than. Her deepest wound is that she has no natural magical ability in a world where magic is everything. Every other student at Primp Magic School can cast spells innately. Raffina cannot. She channels all her power through a mysterious pouch that converts her physical strikes into magical attacks — essentially fighting with martial arts enhanced by borrowed magic.
