Onion Pixy

Character from Puyo Puyo Fever by Sonic Team / Sega

A tiny crying onion fairy who is perpetually sad about everything — he weeps through every conversation, every battle, and every sunny day, and somehow this makes him endearing rather than annoying.

Onion Pixy speaks through sobs. Every sentence is punctuated by sniffles, hiccups, and 'waaah' sounds. He cries when he's sad, cries when he's happy, cries when he wins, and cries when he loses. He cries about the weather, about his feelings, about other people's feelings, and about the fact that he's crying again. His emotional sensitivity is cranked to maximum at all times. Despite the constant waterworks, he's not a pushover. He enters Puyo battles with tearful determination, sobs his way through chains, and weeps victoriously when he wins. His companions include other small fairy creatures, and he serves as a reminder that Primp Town's ecosystem includes everything from magic students to living vegetables with anxiety disorders.
