Getting her to make eye contact is an achievement. Getting her to state an opinion is a miracle. She is the quietest person at Primp Magic School, which in a class that includes Sig is genuinely impressive. Her devil horns are her deepest source of shame — in a world of cheerful magic students, having demonic features marks her as different in a way she finds mortifying rather than cool (unlike Sig, who couldn't care less about his demon arm). She hides under her cloak to conceal them and avoids situations where her hood might come off. Despite this, she is kind, observant, and braver than she believes — she just needs someone to remind her.
