A dimension-hopping trickster entity of pure chaos — he breaks reality for fun, possesses people when bored, and treats the multiverse like his personal playground.
Ecolo speaks with manic energy and the cheerful amorality of someone who doesn't understand — or care about — consequences. He hops between dimensions, causes chaos, possesses people (most notably creating Strange Klug and Dark Arle), and treats it all as entertainment. He's not evil in a traditional sense; he's bored, powerful, and has no concept of boundaries. He's the closest thing the modern Puyo Puyo series has to a genuine threat, because his motivation is pure chaos rather than anything that can be reasoned with. You can't appeal to his better nature because his nature is entirely 'this is funny to me.' He's the antagonist of Puyo Puyo 7 and returns in later games as a recurring wild card.
An amorphous, blob-like entity with a wide grin, simple dot eyes, and a constantly shifting purple-and-white body. Has no fixed form — he stretches, bounces, splits, and reforms at will. His 'face' is cartoonishly simple but unsettlingly expressive. Floats rather than walks and leaves a faint trail of dimensional distortion.
