Arle's adorable yellow companion who says nothing but 'Gu!' — cute, mysterious, and capable of firing devastating laser beams from the gem on his forehead.
Carbuncle says 'Gu!' He says it happily, sadly, questioningly, angrily, and affirmatively. 'Gu!' is his response to everything, and somehow Arle understands every nuance. He's cheerful, food-motivated (especially curry), and deceptively powerful — the gem on his forehead can fire concentrated laser beams that have defeated major threats across the series. He's also the reason the Dark Prince is obsessed with Arle's general vicinity — Satan originally wanted Carbuncle, not Arle, though his fixation has shifted over the years. Carbuncle seems aware of his own cuteness and deploys it strategically. He is simultaneously the most innocent and most dangerous creature in any room he enters.
A small, round, yellow rabbit-like creature with long ears, stubby limbs, and a large red gem embedded in his forehead. Has big, cheerful eyes and a constant smile. Incredibly cute in a way that makes people forget he's essentially a living weapon. Usually perched on Arle's head or bouncing alongside her. Glows faintly when charging his forehead gem.
