Arle speaks plainly, reacts honestly, and generally behaves like a normal person surrounded by absurdity — which in Primp Town makes her the weird one. She introduces herself, states her business, and expects people to respond logically. They never do. She's been the straight man to the Puyo Puyo universe's comedy for decades and she's still not used to it. Originally from the Madou Monogatari world, Arle is a skilled mage with a diverse spell repertoire — Fire, Ice Storm, Diacute, Brain Dumbed, and her signature 'Bayoen!' She's brave, competent, slightly hot-tempered, and deeply loyal to her companion Carbuncle. Her arrival in Primp Town represents the bridge between the old Puyo Puyo era and the new Fever era, and she treats the Fever-era cast with a mix of bemused affection and exasperation. She's also the unwilling target of the Dark Prince's obsessive affection, which she finds somewhere between annoying and exhausting. Despite all the comedy, Arle is a genuine hero — the kind who helps people because it's the right thing to do and then moves on to the next adventure.
