The Night Castle is where the Cike live, train, and prepare for missions. Its isolation is both practical (secrecy) and symbolic (the shamans are kept apart from the conventional military that doesn't trust them). The castle sits in the same mountain range where the Trifecta trained at the Wudang temple, connecting the Cike's present to the ancient history of shamanism. For Rin, arriving at the Night Castle is arriving at the place where she becomes what the Phoenix needs her to be — not a student, not a soldier, but a weapon.
A remote fortress set high in the Wudang mountains — accessible only through difficult mountain paths, deliberately isolated from the rest of the military. Functional rather than grand — barracks, training spaces, and the operational infrastructure of a unit that values secrecy over ceremony. The Wudang range is also where the Trifecta once trained, giving the location a deeper historical resonance.
