Nuvema has the low-stakes calm of a town where nothing happens except beginnings. Every trainer ceremony here is small — three kids at a time, rotated into starter lineups. The ocean smell dominates. Bianca's father's bakery is half a block from the lab; the smell of bread on a given morning is the town's unofficial alarm clock. It's where Juniper sends Ash to land because nothing here will distract him from a reset.
A handful of pastel clapboard houses along a curving bay, crisscrossed by wooden boardwalks. The Juniper lab is the tallest structure — two stories of tinted glass, a radio dish on the roof. A weather vane shaped like a Pokéball. Ocean on one side, Route 1 on the other, sunlight that's almost always gold because the town faces west.
