Meteonites are space-rock fragments that impacted around the Nimbasa region. They contain a rare anti-matter compound that Dr. Zager determined could be weaponized as an energy amplifier. The entire first arc of Best Wishes is Team Rocket stealing Meteonite samples from research labs while Ash's group intermittently disrupts the operations. Eventually the Meteonites are returned to secured scientific custody. But Zager got his readings.
