A tiny leaf-shaped town in southern Sinnoh — Dawn's hometown, Barry's hometown, where the journey begins at the pond behind Dawn's house.
Twinleaf is the quiet town every Sinnoh journey starts leaving. There is nothing to do here past the age of ten except go elsewhere. Dawn walks out of it on her first morning; Barry has already walked out. It is the kind of town you return to at Christmas.
A small cluster of pastel-roofed houses around a central pond, ringed by woodland full of Starly and Bidoof. Two paved walking paths. A mailbox. No Gym, no Pokémon Center. The smell of cut grass and pond water.
