Sinnoh is colder than Kanto, older than Johto, more mystical than Hoenn. The region's mythology — the Creation Trio, the Original One, the Distortion World — sits just under the surface of everyday life, carved into temple walls most trainers walk past. It is also the first region where the anime takes its villains entirely seriously; Team Galactic's plan threatens the universe, not merely the regional economy.
A continental landmass defined by Mt. Coronet running north-to-south through its center. Snowbound peaks to the north, marshland to the east, surfing coasts to the south. Eight named cities strung along its road network, linked by Routes 201 through 230. Old stone ruins scattered through the mountains.
