The island converts into a tournament city every Pokémon League season. Ash trains on its beaches. Paul and Barry prepare in their own dorms. Cynthia does not descend to the floor — she is the Champion — but her presence hangs over every round. The stadium roof is retractable, and for the semifinal between Ash and Tobias, they open it so the whole island can watch.
A crescent-shaped tropical island with a massive tournament stadium at its center, surrounded by a town-sized complex of trainer dormitories, Poké Marts, and Pokémon Centers. The stadium battlefield rotates between grass, rock, ice, and water forms. Flowering trees line every road — lilies of the valley bloom in drifts.
