A dense, bug-heavy forest west of Eterna City — a common first wilderness for new trainers, and the site of a haunted chateau locals avoid.
The forest is noisy with Wurmple and Kricketot by day and Hoothoot by night. The Old Chateau is not. Locals tell their children the Chateau is haunted by a Rotom and a Pokémon that was once a child. Most trainers avoid it.
Thick canopy of dark green, shafts of filtered light, Bug-type buzzing at every level. A weathered footpath. Off the path, the Old Chateau rises out of the trees — Victorian stonework, boarded windows, an uninterrupted silence around it.
