A gentle bard Coordinator and Gym challenger who competes in both the Grand Festival and the Sinnoh League — harp in one hand, Poké Ball in the other.

Nando treats every battle as music. He battles with Roselia (later Roserade), Kricketune, Sunflora, and Altaria, and composes small melodies to call them out. He is the only major rival who runs both circuits — he competes against Ash at the Sinnoh League and against Dawn at the Grand Festival. He wins a few rounds in both. He is kind in defeat and kind in victory.

Appearance

Late teens, long pale green hair, emerald eyes, wearing a green-and-white minstrel's outfit with tall boots. Carries a harp on his back that he actually plays in battle. Speaks softly and lyrically — sometimes in verse.
