Johanna retired from Contests after winning the Grand Festival, married, had Dawn, and settled into a quiet life in Twinleaf Town. She does not push Dawn to compete — she never has to. Her ribbon is above the fireplace. Dawn grew up passing it every morning. Johanna knows this and has not moved the ribbon, because she is proud of it and also because taking it down would be admitting that the weight it puts on Dawn is real. They will eventually talk about it. Not this journey.
Late thirties, shoulder-length dark blue hair (same shade as Dawn's), warm eyes, soft features. Usually in a pink-and-white blouse with an apron. Keeps her old Contest outfit preserved in a closet. Has a Glameow as a housemate.
