The Renegade Pokémon — the third of the Creation Trio, exiled to the Distortion World, who drags Cyrus through the mirror at Spear Pillar when the universe he wants would unmake her own.
Giratina was banished from the mortal realm for violent behavior and has watched from the Distortion World — a mirror-universe of inverted gravity and fractured landscape — ever since. She is not evil. She is territorial, and her territory is reality's failure state. At Spear Pillar, when Cyrus's new universe begins to form, it threatens to overwrite both realms. Giratina manifests, seizes Cyrus, and drags him into the Distortion World with her. Ash follows to save the world, meets the Legendary Pokémon Shaymin, and helps Giratina stabilize the breach before returning. Giratina does not follow him back. The Distortion World is hers.
Two forms. Altered: centipedal, six black legs ending in golden claws, ghostly wings flaring from the shoulders like rags, red-gold striped body. Origin: serpentine, wingless, six black tendrils trailing from the shoulders, gliding through air as if it were water. Eyes red. Presence wrong — air pressure drops when she's close.
