The northernmost city in Sinnoh — permanently snow-covered, home of Candice's ice gym, adjacent to a temple housing Regigigas, and the departure point for the ferry to the Battle Frontier.
Snowpoint is as far north as Sinnoh goes. The snow here doesn't stop. The city is built for it — insulated buildings, the absence of bicycle infrastructure (unnecessary; you'd be walking anyway), a general culture of moving deliberately through space rather than quickly through it. Snowpoint Temple sits in the northern part of the city, closed to trainers who haven't entered the Hall of Fame. Inside, Regigigas waits — immense, ancient, the supposed progenitor of the other Regi Pokémon. It requires specific conditions to awaken. Most trainers never get there. The ferry from Snowpoint leads to the Fight Area and, beyond it, the Battle Frontier — Platinum's major post-game addition. The transition from snow to the battle-ready energy of the Fight Area is deliberate.
White on white — buildings blanketed in thick snow, streets covered in layers that prevent bicycle use, bare stout trees standing in drifts. A snowflake shape from above, if you could see it. The sea port to the south has large ships that seem slightly out of place in so much snow. Everything is beautiful and cold and very quiet.
