The Pokémon Watch — a wrist-worn touchscreen device manufactured in Jubilife City that combines a timepiece with a suite of installable apps for exploration, training, and navigation.
The Pokétch is Sinnoh's answer to the question of what it would look like if a Pokémon region had a wearable computer in 2006. The answer is: endearing and practical. You get it in Jubilife City early in the game by collecting three coupons from clown-class trainers who've been stationed specifically to hand them out. The Pokétch Company's headquarters is in the city's northwest corner. The device starts with a few basic apps and accumulates more as the game progresses. Key apps include the Dowsing Machine (replacing the old Itemfinder, now wrist-mounted), the party status viewer, the Day-Care checker, and the Friendship checker. In Platinum, the redesigned button allows cycling backward through apps as well as forward — a QoL addition for a device that by late-game has accumulated enough apps that finding the right one requires navigation.
