The Lustrous Orb and the Adamant Orb are a pair — Team Galactic requires both to fully realize the Red Chain's function at Spear Pillar. The Lustrous Orb is attuned to Palkia in the same way the Adamant Orb is attuned to Dialga. When held by Palkia, it boosts Water and Dragon-type moves. It also enables Palkia's Origin Forme — the centaur-dragon hybrid appearance that represents Palkia at full power. The orb connects to the Pearl Clan's ancient history in Hisui. The clan that worshipped Palkia treated this orb as the most sacred artifact of their faith. That it becomes a component of Cyrus's weapon is the kind of irony that Sinnoh's mythology seems to generate inevitably.
A white sphere with a luminous, pearl-like quality — it seems to bend light slightly around it, suggesting proximity to something that warps space. Lighter than it looks. The surface is smooth in a way that feels almost wet.
