The Adamant Orb is obtained in Mt. Coronet after the Spear Pillar sequence — accessible once Cyrus's plan has been defeated and the legendary Pokémon are free. It sits in a location that requires HM moves to reach, which means collecting it requires commitment. When held by Dialga, it boosts Steel and Dragon-type moves by 20%. In the Diamond/Platinum versions, it also enables Dialga's Origin Forme — its true appearance that more closely resembles Arceus, its creator. Team Galactic seeks both the Adamant Orb and the Lustrous Orb as components of their Red Chain plan. The orbs are how the Red Chains achieve control — artifacts attuned to the legendaries become the leverage.
