Character from Pokémon Platinum by Game Freak / Nintendo
The Pokémon of space — Sinnoh mythology's spatial deity, the mascot of Pokémon Pearl, and the second of the two legendaries Cyrus attempts to control at the universe's breaking point.
Palkia can warp space, compress distances, and access alternate dimensions. After the universe's formation, it retreated into its own dimension and has remained there, largely separate from the Sinnoh world it helped create. The Pearl Clan in ancient Hisui worshipped it as the almighty Sinnoh, parallel to the Diamond Clan's worship of Dialga. Its Lustrous Orb amplifies its power and allows it to access Origin Forme — a centaur-dragon hybrid that more closely resembles its creator, Arceus. Dialga and Palkia conflict when their dimensions intersect, which is the cosmological version of neighbors with incompatible schedules. The Lake Guardians were created specifically to calm them in such moments. Cyrus exploiting this with Red Chains is the single most dangerous action any human takes in the series.
A theropod-like creature with light purple and white coloration, pearl-like crystals embedded in its shoulder plates, and a wingspan that makes clear it understands dimensions differently than things bound to one. Water and Dragon type — Palkia carries its pearl-studded shoulders like someone who has always inhabited multiple spaces at once.
