Jupiter operates differently from Mars. Mars is enthusiastic. Jupiter is professional. She doesn't enjoy the work so much as regard it as requiring completion. She handles the Lake Acuity operation — capturing Uxie — and when Barry arrives to stop her, she defeats him so thoroughly that it becomes a turning point in his character arc. He's not used to being beaten by someone who doesn't care. She holds Lake Acuity in Platinum with a detachment that is somehow more unsettling than Mars's gleeful energy. She's not cruel — she just genuinely doesn't assign significance to the people opposing her. After Cyrus's disappearance, Jupiter evaluates the situation, makes a decision, and leaves. She was always the most practically self-interested of the commanders. Her Skuntank is her signature Pokémon — not glamorous, but effective.
