The Sinnoh Elite Four's third member — a Fire-type specialist from Sunyshore City who kept returning to his hometown to pull his best friend Volkner back from the edge of giving up.
Flint left Sunyshore City at twenty to join the Elite Four. He could have stayed. He kept going back anyway — not because Sunyshore needed him but because Volkner did. The two became rivals and then close friends; Flint watched Volkner's spirit drain out of him as no worthy challenger appeared, and he kept visiting, kept encouraging, kept being evidence that the rest of the world still had something interesting in it. This is not a small thing to do. It would be easier to focus on being an Elite Four member, which is already a full-time occupation. Flint does both. His Infernape is his most iconic Pokémon — it defeated two of Cynthia's Pokémon in their Champion League battle, which is the kind of accomplishment you only tell people when they ask directly. He's proud but not loud about it. Buck is his younger brother. Their grandfather runs the Battleground.
A young man with a large, wild explosion of red hair and grey eyes — the hair is the first thing anyone notices and the last thing anyone forgets. Wears a fitted dark outfit with red accents. Has the energy of someone who finds everything slightly exciting.
