Navel Island's gym challenge is an endurance course: climb the mountain using Pokémon moves only (no gear), freeze a lake, craft a sled from the bamboo grove with the help of a Pokémon's attacks, and ride that sled down the mountain to the beach arena, where the actual battle then begins. It is the most demanding gym in the Orange Crew circuit, and Danny's Sea Ruby Badge is awarded with a respect that feels earned.
