Celadon is the closest Kanto comes to a pleasure city. The Department Store is the largest in the region — every type of Poké Ball, every evolution stone, every tool a trainer could want. The perfume shops are legendary. The Game Corner is secretly a front for a Team Rocket slot-machine money-laundering operation, which Ash, Misty, and Brock break up in one of the season's more action-heavy arcs. Erika's gym is a fragrant greenhouse full of Grass Pokémon.

Appearance

A lavishly green city of cultivated parks, wisteria-draped pedestrian streets, and large flower beds. The Celadon Department Store rises twelve floors high in the city center. The gym is a greenhouse with stained glass peaks; perfume shops line the east promenade. A Game Corner with a blinking neon Pokémon above the door operates on the south side.
