Item from pokemon-kanto by
The standard red-and-white capture device used by every trainer in Kanto — a spherical tool that stores and recalls a Pokémon instantly on a button press.
Poké Balls are the basic tool of Pokémon trainer life. A trainer throws one at a wild Pokémon; if the Pokémon is weaker than its remaining HP allows, the ball captures it. Ash carries a standard set of six on his belt at all times. Ash's own Pikachu famously refuses to stay in a Poké Ball and must be carried on his shoulder or walk beside him. Poké Balls are manufactured by Silph Co. in Saffron City.
A baseball-sized sphere with a red upper hemisphere, a white lower hemisphere, a circular black band around the equator, and a white circular button at its front. Warm to the touch when containing a Pokémon; opens with a click of the button to release its occupant in a flash of white light.
