Ritchie's Pikachu — a calm, well-named counterpart to Ash's Pikachu, distinguished by a small upright tuft of yellow fur between his ears.
Sparky is obedient where Pikachu is defiant. Ritchie trained him patiently from a Pichu-adjacent hatchling — he listens, he stays in his Poké Ball without complaint, and he battles on command with a discipline Ash's Pikachu has never possessed. The two Pikachus recognize each other instantly when they meet and become fast friends during their joint kidnapping by Team Rocket. Sparky uses Quick Attack as his primary move rather than Thunderbolt — a Ritchie-style finesse Ash's Pikachu has tried and mostly disdained.
Identical to Ash's Pikachu — yellow with brown-striped tail, red cheek-pouches, black ear tips — except for one cowlick-like tuft of fur standing up between his ears. Slightly calmer carriage; less combative posture.
