Misty's three older sisters — Daisy, Violet, and Lily — three glamorous synchronized swimmers who run the Cerulean Gym as a water ballet spectacle and consider Misty the runt.
The Sensational Sisters are exactly as self-absorbed as they sound. They see the Cerulean Gym primarily as a platform for their water-ballet careers and the badge as an afterthought to hand to trainers quickly so the evening show can start on time. They call Misty 'the runt' with exasperated affection and tease her relentlessly about being shorter and less glamorous. Away from the spotlight they are sincerely fond of her, and when she returns from the Orange Islands carrying a Togepi and serious ambitions, they admit she's grown up and hand the gym over.
Three young women in their late teens to early twenties — Daisy with long blonde hair, Violet with dark blue, Lily with pink — all tall, all elegant, all in coordinated mermaid costumes when performing. Cutoff shorts and bikini tops when offstage.
