Character from pokemon-kanto by
The Pokémon researcher of Valencia Island in the Orange Archipelago who studies regional variations — and whose lab Brock left the group to join, returning months later traumatized and unable to say her name.
Professor Ivy is a world-class field researcher specializing in the unique regional forms of Pokémon that appear in the Orange Islands — subtly different colorations, movesets, and sizes from their Kanto cousins. She studies them in their habitat rather than in captivity, which is why her lab feels more like a jungle compound than a research station. She is competent, self-possessed, and slightly intimidating in the way professionals who don't bother with small talk often are. Brock volunteered to be her assistant after the group delivered Oak's GS Ball to her lab. Something happened during the months he spent there. The show never explains what. Brock returns to the group pale and gaunt, flinches when anyone says her name, and refuses to talk about it for the rest of the anime's run. She remains professionally cordial about him.
Tall and poised, with deep lavender hair pulled back in a thick ponytail, sharp blue eyes, a white lab coat over a green and blue field outfit. Three identical young female assistants trail her everywhere, handing her clipboards in unison. Works barefoot in the lab.
