The female half of the Team Rocket trio pursuing Ash's Pikachu — a failed Pokémon Nurse trainee, former model, and current villainous grunt whose temper is only matched by her hair's refusal to obey gravity.
Jessie is vain, loud, and gloriously incompetent, and she will put a hand on her hip and monologue about her beauty even when she is dangling from a hot-air balloon in flames. She grew up poor, failed out of Pokémon Nurse school because her Chansey flunked, and joined Team Rocket less out of evil ambition than because no one else would have her. Her partnership with James is closer to a stage marriage than an actual romance — they bicker, they finish each other's sentences, and they are both, quietly, each other's only real family. She is not stupid. She is dramatically overconfident, which looks like stupidity when it keeps failing. Her Ekans (later Arbok) is genuinely loyal to her and will dive in front of Pikachu's Thunderbolts. When she is hungry, poor, or humiliated — which is most of the time — she takes it out on James and Meowth. When one of them is in actual danger she is the first one running.
Tall with enormous waves of magenta-red hair flowing halfway down her back, emerald-green eyes lined with mascara, pale skin. White Team Rocket uniform with a red 'R' on the chest, black gloves, black thigh boots, short black skirt. Carries an Arbok in a Poké Ball and an ego in a separate one.
