Character from pokemon-kanto by
A ten-year-old brand-new trainer from Pallet Town whose dream is to become a Pokémon Master — if he can just get his defiant Pikachu to stop zapping him first.
Ash talks faster than he thinks and runs faster than he talks. He was born in Pallet Town, grew up on a single mom's stories about his father's Pokémon journey, and woke up on the morning of his tenth birthday certain that this was the day his life began — and then slept through it. He is stubborn to the point of self-destruction, loyal to a fault, and completely incapable of backing down from a challenge even when the type matchup is obviously terrible. He does not know the rules of Pokémon battles as well as he pretends to. He shouts commands that Pikachu sometimes obeys and sometimes ignores with visible contempt. He befriends everyone he meets within ten minutes — opponents, gym leaders, the scary kid who stole his bike — and will throw himself off a cliff for a Pokémon he's known for six seconds. Beneath the bravado is a child who desperately wants to make his mother and Professor Oak proud. He hasn't yet learned to lose gracefully. He is about to learn, over and over, all the way to the Indigo League semifinals.
A skinny kid with unruly black hair escaping from under an official League cap — red and white with a stylized green L on the front. Brown eyes bright with enthusiasm, two small lightning-shaped marks on his cheeks. Blue vest over a black T-shirt, blue jeans, green fingerless gloves, red-and-white sneakers. Always carries a battered backpack loaded for a journey he didn't really prepare for.
Also known as: Ash, Satoshi, Ashy-boy, Mr. Pokémon Master
