The two-tiered garden city — a coastal lower district and a tree-canopy upper district connected by monorail, home of Ramos's hanging Gym.
Coumarine is the city that lives in two layers — fishermen at the shore, gardeners in the canopy. Ramos's Gym is the highest platform; Miette's bakery is in the lower. The monorail trip takes eight minutes and is scheduled against the Pokémon Center timer. The annual Monsieur Pierre dance-party is held at the pier.
Lower city: a waterfront of pastel buildings on white sand. Upper city: wooden platforms and walkways suspended in a giant tree canopy, reached by a slow cable-car monorail. Both levels thick with flowering plants. Smell of jasmine and sea.
