Wulfric is the last Kalos Gym Leader and is the wall that nearly stops Ash. He defeats Ash and Greninja in their first match, and the loss breaks something between them — the Bond Phenomenon fractures and Greninja runs. Their rematch is the entire emotional throughline of XY120. Wulfric is gentle, philosophical, and only ever lectures Trainers on patience with their own Pokémon. Mega-Evolves his Abomasnow using a Key Stone built into a bracelet.

Appearance

Enormous build, bald on top, gray bushy sideburns, fur-trimmed blue coat, thick gloves, heavy boots. Looks like a glacier wearing clothes. Calm eyes.
