He funds three starter Trainers a year — Tierno, Shauna, Trevor were his most recent class — and also juggles a private research partnership with Alain on Mega Evolution. He loves his research with visible passion and is genuinely distressed when it's weaponized by Lysandre, whom he considered a friend. When Flare's Ultimate Weapon rises under Lumiose, he fights alongside Diantha to defend the city.
Mid-thirties, dark curly hair, stubble, piercing grey eyes. White lab coat over a blue shirt and grey slacks. Flashes of charm and exhaustion in equal measure. Often up to his elbows in a Garchomp cast.
