James is the gentlest of the Rocket trio — he genuinely loves his Pokémon, genuinely hates violence, and only stays in Team Rocket because Jessie is there. His Kalos Inkay is affectionate and mischievous. His reunited Pumpkaboo becomes Jessie's. He collects bottlecaps. He is perpetually broke. In Kalos he gets more dignity than usual — the show lets him be competent at stakeouts.
Tall, purple hair, green eyes, same white Rocket uniform with the red R. Cross-shaped scar of various minor burns he ignores. Inkay often perched on his shoulder, inverting itself when confused.
