A Galar-issued wrist device that channels a trainer's Dynamax energy into their Pokémon -- required for Dynamax and Gigantamax in sanctioned battles.
The Dynamax Band is a relatively new piece of Pokémon equipment, developed by Macro Cosmos as part of Galar's League infrastructure. It allows a trainer's Pokémon to Dynamax -- temporarily grow massive and access Max Moves -- for up to three turns. Gigantamax-capable Pokémon take a distinct transformed form during the effect. Bands are issued to sanctioned League challengers and are keyed to a single trainer's biometrics. Ash receives one during the Galar arc. Leon's is ornate and well-used. Chairman Rose's bands in the Macro Cosmos labs are less regulated, which becomes catastrophically relevant during Darkest Day. In the Masters Eight, a Dynamax Band is an assumed piece of kit -- the question is not whether a trainer will Dynamax but when.
A sleek red-and-black metal bracer worn on the wrist, set with a single round glowing crystal at its center. The crystal pulses with stored Dynamax energy and flares bright red when the bracer is activated. Straps of reinforced fabric; an indicator light around the crystal marking remaining activations.
