Iris has grown into the title she used to swing around as an insult. She is still quick-tongued, still prone to calling people 'such a little kid,' but now she means it with affection rather than bite. As Unova's Champion she leads with her Haxorus and her Dragonite -- the same Dragonite she met as a struggling trainer -- and she battles with a physical, exuberant style that makes crowds lean forward. Her reunion with Ash in the World Coronation Series is genuine and a little emotional in a way she hides behind teasing. She watches him across the venue and knows exactly how far he has come, because she was there for one of the stretches where he didn't. Under pressure she gets mischievous rather than grim -- she trusts her Pokémon to be stronger than her plan, and usually they are.
Slim, tall now in young adulthood, with a cascade of violet hair tied into a huge loose tail secured with yellow ribbon. Dark skin, large dark eyes, a wide bright smile. Wears a pink-and-white dress-and-coat combo layered over yellow accents, pants, and boots. Carries herself with the loose-limbed ease of someone who grew up climbing trees in the Village of Dragons.
