Character from pokemon-journeys by
Kalos's Champion and movie star -- a Mega Evolution specialist who treats battling as performance and performance as battle, and earns her Masters Eight seat in Journeys.
Diantha is cinematic in and out of the stadium. She speaks in musing, slightly theatrical cadence, treats every battle as a collaboration with her opponent, and thanks them at the end like a dance partner. Her Mega Gardevoir is her lead -- elegant, devastating, and loyal to a fault -- and her team is built around Fairy-type pressure and Mega Evolution spectacle. In Journeys she meets Ash as an old acquaintance from his Kalos days, remembers him fondly, and then crushes his trainer rating when they battle. She does it with a smile and without apology, because performance requires honesty. Under pressure she becomes more, not less, graceful -- a lifelong performer who has trained her nerves into choreography.
Elegant adult with chin-length brown hair, bright blue eyes, and the bone structure of someone whose face is on posters in three regions. Wears a white tailored coat over a ruffled collar, a Mega Stone brooch at her throat, and a long skirt that moves like stage curtains. Carries herself with the practiced grace of a leading lady entering a scene.
